Decking using Millboard in Perth

As decking professionals we come across all kinds of decking idea’s and specifications. A relatively new product to Perth is Millboard decking. Imported from the UK this fully synthetic material overcomes many of the problems associated with traditional composite decking like scratching and staining.

Millboard decking is 100% non-porous so any staining (like coffee or red wine!) can be simply washed away with water. This, as well as the non-slip characteristics makes it ideal for both residential and commercial applications.

Other advantages this product offers include an ingenious fixing system which allows for a nice solid surface fix of each board but these fixings then disappear leaving a seamless, screw-free looking deck.

Millboard decking does not fade. Even around a pool when it constantly getting battered by the hot sun and chlorinated water every board will remain the same colour and texture. If you are the sort of person who has no interest in maintaining and oiling timber then this product might be for you.

Millboard decking is certainly not a cheaper alternative to traditional hardwood decking, in fact, it is significantly more expensive, but its zero maintenance, realistic and clean appearance makes it an option that more of our clients are considering.
